The Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre provides an inclusive, supportive and caring environment for everyone. We offer a comprehensive range of courses and activities where you can learn new skills, share your interests and make connections with people in your community.
Our guiding aims include:
- services: to provide a rich range of programs and activities that meet community needs and interests and provide opportunities for individuals and groups to connect with others in the community and provide social cohesion.
- community learning: to be an organisation which promotes life long learning, personal development and well-being in a culturally diverse community
- process: to be a trusted and transparent organisation operating in a responsive and collaborative manner.
The Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre relies on volunteers to help us run the Neighbourhood Centre and keep costs down. We are very proud of the number of volunteers associated with our Centre and the great work they do. Volunteering is a great way to meet people in the community, learn new skills or share skills and feel good about contributing.
The Surrey Hills Neighbourhood Centre adopted a set of policies that are published and accessible on our website
We regularly update our printed newsletter and the Boroondara Neighbourhood Houses Short course guide
