I’ve got my Ukulele, what do I do now?  If you’ve always wanted to play the ukulele, come along and go through the basics and have fun learning three chords that feature in
thousands of songs.

Come and develop your life-long enjoyment of music in a fun and friendly environment. Soon you’ll be gathering your friends and family for a sing-a-along before you know it!

What you get

You will learn how to: • Hold the Ukulele properly • Identify the various parts of the Ukulele • Understand and apply the use of different numbered fingers • Strum the ukulele with a relaxed “shaking off drops of water” action • Strum with basic Strumming techniques and timing • Practice suitable warm-up exercises • Understand a Ukulele Chord diagram • Play and clap along to simple rhythm patterns • Play along with other Ukulele players (in time, and playing the same chords)

You must be an annual member to participate in ongoing term classes at the Neighbourhood Centre.
