Join the Surrey Hills Community as we come together to hear important stories and celebrate positive contributions made by refugees to Australian society.
Our Neighbourhood Centre has long supported the important work of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC), which provides aid, justice and empowerment programs to over 1000 asylum seekers living in the community seeking refugee protection.
We’re thrilled to announce special guest, Mehdi Sina, a Community Advocacy Power Program graduate with ASRC. Mehdi will share their powerful story about fleeing Afghanistan and experience of seeking asylum in Australia.
Evening presentation includes speech, community conversation and light refreshments.
