Our watercolour classes are extremely popular so you’ll need to be quick to grab your spot.  Learning under the direction of award winning watercolour artist Velda Palazzi, you will learn and explore various watercolour techniques that will soon have you creating a work of art. Classes are suitable for beginners as well as advanced watercolour artists.

What to bring

Please note, for your first lesson, prospective students can just bring what you have in the way of paints, brushes, and paper. Velda can then advise you which other items you may need. Paints - start with one tube of each of: Cadmium red Alizarin crimson Coblalt blue Cerulean blue Ultramarine blue Cobalt turquoise New Gambouge Cadmium yellow pale And (these two only Winsor and Newton brand) Burnt sienna and Raw Sienna Brushes - synthetic hairs are good nowadays and cheap: One round brush size 12 One flat brush size 10 One rigger size 5 Paper - two sheets of Arches or Saunders brand, 300gsm, in one rough and one smooth surface. Also - some tissues or paper towel, and that will get you started!
