We have three new yoga classes beginning in Term 3:
Mini Yogis for children aged 3-4 years
Minor Yogis for children aged 5-8 years, and
Tween Yogis for children aged 9-12 years.
The rate of children in primary school that are being diagnosed with stress and anxiety issues, ADD/ADHD and depression to name a few, are unfortunately on the rise.
A growing body of research has already shown that yoga can improve concentration, memory recall, self-esteem and reduce stress and anxiety in children.
In a world where nearly a quarter of children and teens will experience some type of mental health disorder while growing up, yoga is the perfect mechanism for dealing with fears, worries, ADHD and depression to mention a few.
