Your tutor for this class is Andrea Hughes.

Discover the art of mosaics as you piece together a stunning masterpiece using an array of colourful tiles and materials. Join us for a hands-on, inspiring workshop over 3 Thursday evening sessions as you transform otherwise broken pieces into beautiful works of art.

Make a mosaic garden wall plaque or bee bowl with Andrea. On week one, you’ll select, cut and arrange your tiles, on week two, you’ll be using adhesive to glue them into place and on the final week you’ll grout your beautiful piece and be able to take it home.

Andrea is a Melbourne-based visual artist who earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction at RMIT University. Andrea loves to experiment with mixed mediums and explore different surfaces – and vibrant colours and unexpected combinations are hallmarks of her work. Her natural curiosity and passion for the creative process have led her to produce pieces across many platforms, including painting, jewellery, photography and sculpture including mosaic. Andrea’s work is usually driven by her own playful sense of style. Andrea works as an Art Mentor for Arts Access Victoria and Artist in residence at schools across Melbourne.
