Class Details

Your tutor for this class is Lisa Kendall.

Active Living is designed for those who want to improve general overall fitness, strength, flexibility and balance.

The class structure involves warm up, stretching, balance, mild cardio and strength.

Most of the exercises can be broken down into levels – Lisa demonstrates the exercises so students can choose the easier level or go to the 2nd or 3rd level. Often, the class has a wide range of abilities, and Lisa likes to pitch it so that everyone is included.  As well, students can opt out of an exercise if it’s going to aggravate an injury, or for any other reason.

The exercises target deep muscles along with the superficial muscles. Lisa’s classes provide a full-body workout. She brings in a wide range of equipment and the participants frequently comment that no class is the same – there’s a lot of variety.

The classes are fun; there’s a lot of laughing and at the same time, a commitment to improving.
